Frequently Asked Questions
Vibrant Dentistry of Tucson
What is root canal treatment?
Root canal treatment is a procedure used to save a tooth that has become infected or severely decayed. Inside each tooth is a space called the root canal, which contains nerves and blood vessels (the pulp). When this pulp becomes inflamed or infected, root canal treatment removes the damaged tissue, cleans and disinfects the space, and then seals it to prevent future infection. Modern root canal treatments are comfortable, safe, and help you keep your natural smile.
How can I whiten my teeth?
We offer professional whitening treatments, both in-office and take-home kits, to safely and effectively brighten your smile without damaging enamel.
What causes bad breath?
Bad breath (halitosis) is often caused by bacteria buildup, dry mouth, or certain health conditions. Good hygiene and regular dental cleanings help keep your breath fresh.
Why do my gums bleed?
Bleeding gums are usually a sign of gum disease or brushing too hard. Healthy gums don’t bleed — if yours do, schedule an exam as soon as possible.
What are wisdom teeth?
Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars. If they cause crowding, pain, or infection, we recommend safe, gentle removal.
How often should I visit the dentist?
Visit us every six months for cleanings and checkups to keep your smile healthy and catch any issues early.
Do I really need to floss?
Yes! Flossing removes plaque and food your toothbrush can’t reach, preventing cavities, gum disease, and bad breath.
What type of toothbrush and toothpaste should I use?
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Electric toothbrushes are also a great option for deeper cleaning.
How do fillings work?
We clean out the decayed part of your tooth and restore it with a durable, tooth-colored material to protect and strengthen it.
What are the early signs of dental trouble?
Sensitivity, bleeding gums, bad breath, pain, or visible changes in your teeth or gums are early warning signs. Don’t ignore them — early treatment is key!
Do you accept my dental insurance?
